The Miting de Avance of SMIS is an event where the students elect the school years Student Council Officers (SCO). There are only 2 candidates to pick from, starting from the Grade 7 level representative to the Student Council President. This year was no different from the previous years, and the SCO was needed to keep the students behaved while waiting for their classes to start. Without further a do here are the winnersย

There was a speech given out by each candidate, and to put it simply they all did amazing giving out their speeches, and it is safe to say that who ever won the position deserved it. The Grade 7 Level Rep. was won by Rhian Subida by wide margin of votes. However, The Grade 8 Level Rep. was won by Miranda Sasutona by a very close 3 votes from the second candidate which was Althea Riego. The Grade 9 Level Rep.ย  was won by Kurt Deem by a good margin of votes. The Grade 10 Level Rep. was pretty much the same, and was won by Noah Mirador. Grade 11 and 12 Level Rep. was closer in votes, but it still is a good margin of votes.

Now that we are done with the Level Rep. let us get to the winner of the Business Manager, Treasurer, Auditor, Secretary, Vice President, and the President roles. The winner for Business Manager is Aina Ocampo with another good margin of votes, also with a good margin of votes is the winner for Treasurer is Raima Soriano. The winner for Auditor is Aldrich Obispo with another wide margin of votes. However, The winner for Secretary was a little bit closer than the Auditor and was won by Raziel Orca. The winner for Vice President was won by Jenny Cap-atan by a very wide margin of votes that was past 50. Finally for the President role it was won by Paul Vergara by an average margin of votes.

On the first Friday of October, after the institutional mass, the school had its oath taking for the newly elected Barangayette , Student Council and, Classroom, and Parents officers.ย ย
