SMIโ€™ans from all grade level gathered to celebrate the โ€œThe feast of the Blessed Virgin Maryโ€ last September 8, in the schoolโ€™s auditorium.
The Sisters of Mary Immaculate School (SMIS) is a place of learning, faith, and community where the celebration of religious traditions holds a special place.

Celebrating the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary at SMIS

Among the many significant events that grace the schoolโ€™s calendar, the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary stands out as a profound and spiritually enriching occasion, a celebration dedicated to the schoolโ€™s patroness.

The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a revered celebration in the Catholic tradition. It marks the birth of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. At SMIS, this feast is observed with great devotion, aiming to strengthen the spiritual ties among the schoolโ€™s community members.

Commemorates the Birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Preparations for this event began days in advance, and students were challenged with another slogan and poster competition in devotion for Mother Mary.

After the schoolโ€™s morning activity/ceremony the SMIS community happily sung a โ€œHappy birthdayโ€ song just for her, and during the institutional mass, the auditorium was adorned with candles, artworks and beautiful flowers given by students to serve as a gift.

The celebration of the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Sisters of Mary Immaculate School goes beyond religious rituals; it encapsulates the essence of the schoolโ€™s missionโ€”to be Eucharist-centered, church-oriented and Marian devoted. The Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary stands as a testament to the schoolโ€™s commitment to its holistic education and spiritual growth, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of all who participate.
